Time

Time is limited.

How we spend our time is so important. We've all heard it, but we seldom slow down enough to make the changes that we know we need to make.

Our family is changing the way we spend 3 incredibly important hours. Because my wife and I both work full-time, 5 days out of the week we only have from 5pm to 8pm to focus solely on our 2 beautiful daughters. If they aren't asleep by 8pm they won't sleep enough to wake up ready for the next day. But, if we don't focus on them, we miss the most valuable time we've been given each day.

So... we have dinner from 5 to 6pm, Zoe-time from 6 to 7pm, Megan-time from 7 to 8pm, and finally spouse-time from 8 to 10pm. This ensures that each of our girls gets our full attention and that we get the couple time we so desperately need to keep our marriage strong.

How we spend our time is important. We choose to invest our time in the ones we love.

"Weekend"

Small Group was... small. But, we had a great time working our way through John 21. So much truth that is so applicable today.

It was a great riding week with the addition of the holiday on Monday. I'm hoping to log 80 or 90 with Dave and Steve tomorrow. That should give me about 200 for the week. If I can stack a couple of those kinds of weeks back to back I'll be in very competitive shape for the race on July 4.

Thursday night is the beginning of my "weekend".  I'm hoping for some great refreshment and family time between now and Sunday.

G'night!

This Much Closer

I've decided to try it again.

Let's see if I have enough to say.

All that I know is that I'm this much closer to God than I was last time!
